Mission statement: We live to exemplify Christ’s saving grace and love by our daily lives and to extend the Word of God through service, music, and education, spreading peace and love to everyone.
Bethlehem Church was founded in 1887 with West Elbow Lake Church was founded in 1873. Bethlehem and West Elbow Lake joined in 1993 to form Bethlehem West Elbow Lake Lutheran Church. The current building has one new ground level addition built in 1999. In 2010 the congregation became a part of LCMC. The sanctuary and basement dining area are handicapped accessible by elevator from the new addition which houses a large all-purpose meeting/reception room. Approximately 45 individuals worship with us weekly and the total baptized membership is 184.
Bethlehem West Elbow Lake holds one service weekly at 10:00 a.m. This service is televised on our local access channel on Wednesday and Sunday of the following week. Worship is preceded by adult Bible study at 8:45 a.m. that continues throughout the year. The Sunday School youth meet at 9:00 a.m. mid-September through mid-May.
We are offering a part-time position. The intern/pastor will be responsible for all aspects of our ministry in our congregation. Emphasis will be on growing our congregation, programming for the youth and expanded programming for adults.
