Intentional Interim Ministry Training
Intentional Interim Ministry Training
Where: Grand View College, Des Moines, Iowa.
What: An introductory training course for intentional interim pastors led by former LCMC Coordinator for Pastoral Ministry Pastor Steve Lien and Pastor Steven Abend
A change of pastors is a significant and sometimes traumatic event in the life of the church, and congregations often need the services of a trained intentional interim pastor who can lead them through the change and transition in a healthy manner. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of well-trained, intentional interim pastors available, and the need has never been greater. The course in which you are enrolled is a condensed and abbreviated course of basic education for the intentional interim pastor. We ask that those enrolled bring a serious commitment to learning and conscientious determination to healthy practice of interim ministry. This course is not intended to be exhaustive, but the first Introductory step in a continuous learning process.
Class will be held from Tuesday, July 10, 2018 – Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Grand View College, Des Moines, Iowa. Class begins at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday and adjourns at 12:00 on Thursday.
Cost of the course is $150 per person, payable to LCMC, c/o Cathy Nichol (cathy@lcmc.net), LCMC Administrative Coordinator; full payment is required before class begins. Travel, meals and housing are the responsibility of each participant.
Housing is available at local hotels or at Grand View University for $27/night; housing arrangements are the responsibility of each student.
