Registration is Open - 26th Annual Gathering & Convention
Registration is now open for our 26th Annual Gathering & Convention, and church leaders and members from across the association are invited to join us October 4-7 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, IA for a four-day gathering designed to deepen theological understanding, strengthen ministry connections, and equip participants with practical tools for service.
The theme for our 2026 event is "Unleashed", and throughout our four days together, we will be diving into Galatians 5:1 to discover what the concept of "Freedom in Christ" means for us as an association of congregations.
Our Annual Gathering & Convention is not simply a business meeting, but a chance to explore the life and theology of LCMC, meet other pastors and church leaders, learn about new resources, and take part in breakout sessions to educate and equip you in your ministry.
Highlights Include:
- Keynote speakers David Zahl, Tara Beth Leach, and Mike Housholder will help us explore what we are free from, who or what we are free for, and what exactly we are free to do
- New breakout session tracks will offer a series of sessions geared towards future leaders and people who serve in various areas of ministry
- A dinner event, hosted by our Global Missions Fellowship, to help connect our North American congregations with some of our international members
- Opportunities to network with other people in LCMC through districts, fellowships, and interest-based meet and greets
- Exhibitors from various mission and ministry organizations
- A service project (details coming soon!)
The deadline to register is September 10, and all participants must register in advance. A special discounted rate is in effect now through July 31, so we recommend registering early to get the "early bird" rate.
Several hotels in the area are offering a discounted rate to LCMC Annual Gathering & Convention participants. If you wish to book a room at one of the hotels listed on our website, we recommend doing so as soon as you have registered for the event, as our hotel blocks may fill up quickly.
