LCMC to Host 2020 Youth Event
Mark your calendars, because plans are in the works for another high school youth event in 2020!
Next year's theme is Called 2: Love and features teachings on love, leadership, and ministry. The event also includes worship, service projects, breakout sessions, music, and a chance to connect with other high school students and youth leaders in LCMC.
Our goal? To empower youth ministry in the local church, provide leadership development for students and youth leaders, and encourage students to consider the vocation of ministry.
It all takes place July 21-24, 2020 at Grand View University in Des Moines, IA and is open to the first 243 high school students, youth leaders, and adult chaperones who register. More Info >>

Kristy Thomas is a nerd with an affinity for 90s music, collecting antiques, and creating her own Halloween decorations. When she needs to unwind (which is pretty much all of the time), she likes arts & crafts, hiking and camping with her dogs, and playing the ukulele. As Communications & Public Relations Specialist, she is responsible for keeping the people of LCMC informed of what’s going on within the association and for tackling all of the creative-type projects. For the future, she would like to see the congregations of LCMC be proactive in raising up future leaders and for the “20-30 somethings” to be able to make some cool things happen, both within The Church and throughout the world.
