Calling All Interim Pastors!
The impact an interim pastor has on a congregation is substantial, as it can be the time a congregation moves from unhealthy patterns and behaviors to a more positive healthy environment. Interim pastors are in a unique position to move a congregation forward during uncertain times.
The need for intentional interim pastors is critical. Many congregations need some intentional healing before moving on to the next pastor. Intentional interim pastors provide that opportunity. However, interim pastors need to be intentional about equipping themselves for the complex tasks that could be done. Training is critical to both the pastor and the congregation.
Do you have the skills and tools to assist a congregation to navigate the interim period?
LCMC will be offering online intentional interim pastor training via Zoom on May 3-5, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 PM Central Time to help pastors engaging in interim ministry. This workshop is open to those who are interested in serving within LCMC as intentional interim pastors. It is designed as an introductory training course, however it is open to all pastors – even those who have taken the course before – as a refresher or review.
We believe the opportunity to take the training online will allow many more pastors to participate without the costs and hassle of travel, hotel stays, and time away from home. So, please consider this opportunity to get equipped with the right tools for this work which can make all the difference to our congregations and pastors!
The cost is $150 paid at the time of registration. To sign up, contact Cathy Nichol at (734) 788-7476 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are three books that are required reading. They contain critical information and terminology for intentional interim ministry. The books are short and will apply directly to our class.
