Job Description for Pastor at St. Paul
After 15 years of dedication to St. Paul Lutheran church, the pastor has announced his retirement for the end of the year and we have begun the journey to find a new pastor.
For over 165 years, St. Paul Lutheran Church has been one of the spiritual hubs in the heart of Greenville. Nestled in West Central Ohio, our church has been in the eye of many historical events within the community. With a rich variety in ministries and opportunities for members to be involved, such as the choirs, or prayer ministry or numerous Bible studies, it’s no wonder that the congregation is still going strong. Although weekly attendance averages approximately 115 of the 500 confirmed and official members of the directory, we are hopeful to find a pastor who can help us reach the masses and preach the Good Word.
In a new pastor for our congregation, we are looking for someone with some of these qualities and practices:
- Family oriented – We would like a pastor that can reach out and touch families of all ages within our congregation and within the community.
- Bible-Centered – A spiritual leader that preaches scripture from the Bible is important as well.
- Assist with expansion of youth group – We would love to have a pastor assist us in the growth of a youth group. This could happen through a different number of methods.
- Mission-oriented – We would like a pastor that can teach us to be evangelists and reach out to those in need.
We are certain there is a pastor that will feel moved to be our next spiritual leader in a line of motivational and profound leaders of our church. We will be taking note of all applications and all applications will be reviewed. It’s been said that God will equip the called, and we hope you feel called to lead our congregation.
