Forum Guidelines

The LCMC discussion boards are intended to promote open communication between LCMC congregations and associate members on a wide range of topics related to the beliefs and practices of LCMC. Non-members are invited to participate but we ask that before you join the discussion here, you review our website to get an idea of who we are and what we are about.

As spiritual descendents of Martin Luther, we believe open and spirited discussion is vital to the life and mission of LCMC. The discussion Luther began on the Wittenberg bulletin board is continued here, electronically, along with its implications for belief and practice today. Because we sort things out under Law and Gospel, we believe the gift of Gospel freedom is always a privilege, never a right. It is also a privilege, not a right, to participate in this discussion board. "Rights" are defined by Law. So, here are the rules. Participants who do not comply will be removed.

1. Each discussion board participant is limited to two posts per day. Posts in excess of this limit will be automatically rejected.
2. Politeness and respect for others are requirements for continued participation as a member of this discussion board.
3. Cross posting from other discussion boards without permission from the original author is not permitted.
